University of Delaware - Master of Accounting Practice

Students have the ability to complete the program in one to two years based on availability. Courses are distributed in seven-week modules that are taken completely online. For those able to complete the program in a year, they are able to transition to a new career in accounting in that short amount of time. Examples of courses that students take in this program include various levels of Financial Reporting, Database Design and Implementation, and Financial Statement Analysis. Prerequisites include foundational financial and managerial accounting topics, and a basic micro or macroeconomics course.
There are five different start dates during the year for prospective student convenience to enter the program. Up to nine credits can count in the transfer process. Some of the admission requirements for the program include holding a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least a 2.8 GPA in the last 60 credit hours, updated resume, and two letters of recommendation.

Delaware State University - Master of Business Administration
The College of Business is an accredited school that offers accounting topics for both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The popular Master of Business Administration program offers flexibility for students to take multiple courses at once or few at a time to complete the program at a more leisurely pace. 30 total credit hours are needed to satisfy the curriculum requirements.
Courses are taken in eight-week modules away from typical business hours. This means most courses are offered in the evening and/or weekend hours. Either one or two nights per week will be needed to meet with other students or faculty members. Some courses that are available include Applied Strategic Management, Accounting for Decision Making, and Information and Technology Management.
Admission requirements include the submission of official transcripts that designate the completion of an undergraduate degree, official Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores, updated resume, and personal statement that describes what the student's goals are when pursuing the degree at DSU.

Online Master of Accounting Programs in Delaware
Wilmington University – Master of Science in Accounting
The College of Business at the private institution offers a 30-credit curriculum for the Master of Science in Accounting. Students have the ability to take courses at the New Castle campus or completely online, giving students flexibility in their learning experience. Not only does this program prepare for the CPA exam, but also the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) exams.
Each course is worth three credits, equating to 10 total courses that are needed in the program to graduate. The schedule is divided up into eight core courses and two electives that can customize the program. Students will be experienced in accounting theory and be able to apply these concepts to problem solving while in the workplace, and will be able to perform management duties in an ethical manner.
Examples of courses in the program include Fraud Prevention and Forensic Accounting, and International Accounting and Taxation. Many courses are offered on weeknights and during the weekend to convenience students that will still maintain a job while taking this program. Courses are offered at the Wilson Graduate Center and Cumberland County College in addition to the virtual experience.
There are five courses that students must have fulfilled prior to taking the program: two levels of basic accounting, two levels of intermediate accounting, and finance. Similar undergraduate courses are available through Wilmington University that students can pursue to meet these requirements.
